RMO Brackets:
SWLF Technique (Straight Wire Low Friction)
The SWLF® System is a combination of a low friction passive/active bracket and new super-elastic wires for each stage of treatment. The SWLF® System developed by Dr. David Suarez, ensures orthodontic movement is fast and easy. Treatment time and appointments are reduced by more than 30%.
The SWLF technique consists of:
1. SYNERGY® BRACKET
2. SUPER-ELASTIC WIRES
3. AUXILIARIES
Features and Benefits Include:
- Treatment time and appointments are reduced by more than 30%
- Uses a low friction bracket, which allows for individual and selective control over friction, anchorage and tooth movement, as well as a drastic reduction in the number of wires used compared to traditional
- The super-elastic properties of the SWLF® wires make it possible to apply light, continuous forces over longer periods of time
Signature III represents an excellent alternative to metal brackets. This ceramic bracket is aesthetically pleasing and offers consistent and reliable bonding/debonding performance.
Features and Benefits Include:
- Patented Dovetail Base – Each base matches various tooth shapes. This gives the adhesive a large surface area—free of air pockets, so a sturdy, mechanical bond can form.
- Unique Arch Slot Design – Eliminates stress points by rounding the junctions where the arch slot walls meet the arch slot floor, resulting in a continuous curve. This innovation drastically reduces bracket fracture,
Dynamic Performance – A unique, low friction arch slot works equally well with round, rectangular and square arch wires.
The Synergy® bracket design is the most versatile, active bracket. It brings more treatment control options than conventional edgewise brackets, reduces friction dramatically and also reduces total treatment duration. All of this comes together in a very low profile patented Synergy design
Features and Benefits Include:
- Synergy is available in several techniques
- Rounded arch slot walls reduce binding and friction
- Minimum friction ligation
- Maximum rotation ligation
- Manufactured in the Metal Injection Molding (MIM) process
Integra™ is a low profile bracket appliance system. This small, rhomboid designed bracket is totally integrated. The complete bracket, including the base, is molded as one unit and is manufactured using Metal Injection Molding. The Integra™ bracket delivers an unbeatable combination of superior function, patient comfort and superb bonding in an integral appliance system.
Features and Benefits Include:
- Built-in wings, hooks and base result in precision orthodontic control
- Wing design provides for easy ligation; which is unique in a low profile bracket
- Integral ball hooks on cuspids and bicuspids allow for simultaneous use of auxiliaries
- Increased, molded-pattern bonding surface area assures an excellent bond
- Molded base is designed to match precisely to the curvature of the tooth morphology for maximum contact and strong, consistent bonding
- The vertical scribe line aligns precisely with the crown long axis, simplifying accurate bracket placement
- Permanent marking system molded into each bracket for easy identification
Mini-Taurus®, is a minimal bracket with maximum advantages. The Mini-Taurus offers enhanced bracket quality with smooth, rounded contours and rounded hooks. These features assure patient comfort, hygiene and structural strength.
Features and Benefits Include:
- Incisal-gingival bracket dimension has been dramatically reduced
- Bracket design minimizes interference between upper and lower arches
- Strength in design prevents collapse or breakage from mastication
- Foil mesh bases match each bracket and tooth individually
- Easy-to-use permanent identification system is molded into each bracket
- Mini-Taurus is available in several techniques
The Versa T bracket incorporates the friction reducing features of Synergy® but in the Mini-Taurus® twin design. Additionally, this bracket includes a vertical slot for auxiliary treatment applications while maintaining a low profile.
Features and Benefits Include:
- Vertical slot allows for adjustments to the tip, torque, and rotation
- Rounded arch slot walls, rounded arch slot floors and vertical slots
- Curved slot walls let the arch wire enter and exit the slot without binding or inducing unnecessary arch wire stress

- Each arch wire is individually packaged and sealed in RMO® PurePak™ for enhanced product safety
- PurePak™ protects against airborne contaminants and cross contamination
- Tear away tab enclosure for easy access to individually sealed wires
- PurePak™ containers feature color-coded labels for easy identification of your wire inventories
Elgiloy® wire is a premium cobalt-base alloy, specially-fabricated wire in four tempers. All tempers have the unique capability of beginning as a “softer” easily handled wire. This wire can be used as is, or heat-treated, providing flexibility and control in force applications. Wire forms made from Elgiloy® can be heat-treated, depending on the desired application. These wires are available in Penta-Morphic®, natural, ideal and blank arches as well as straight lengths (round, square and rectangular).
FOUR TEMPERS:
Blue – Blue Elgiloy is initially the softest of the tempers. It can be welded with low heat, and soldered without embrittling. Blue Elgiloy is recommended when the wire to be used is over .020” (0.508mm) or when the wire requires considerable bending, welding or soldering. Excellent for edgewise arches, lingual arches, retainers and removables.
Yellow – Yellow Elgiloy is initially ductile and slightly harder than Blue. Using caution, you can spot-weld and solder to large Yellow Elgiloy wires, .021” x .025”; .030”; .036” (0.533mm x 0.635mm; 0.762mm; 0.914mm), without embrittling them. Some practitioners use Yellow as furnished, but it can be heat-treated if greater resiliency or spring performance is required. After heat-treating, Yellow can be adjusted slightly, but should not be adjusted sharply. It is excellent for flat wire techniques. Yellow Elgiloy is recommended where greater spring qualities are needed, than those provided by Blue Elgiloy.
Green – Green Elgiloy is initially semi-resilient and will temper comparable to high spring-tempered steel wires. It can be shaped easily with the fingers and can be plier-manipulated before heat-treating.
Red – Red Elgiloy is initially “hard” with exceptionally high spring qualities. It is not recommended for heat-treating. Use where adjustments will not be required after
heat-treating.
Features and benefits include:
- Superior physical properties
- Longer functioning as a resilient spring wire without distortion or fatigue
- Easy soldering without annealing
- Easy heat-treating to increase physical properties
- Simple electrolyte polishing
